TeamTalk and Linux

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Hello everyone!

It’s being ages that I didn’t post here, due to family events, deaths, and so on. I am here, and slowly slowly, will come back with posts at the usual pace!

Today we are going to talk about TeamTalk and Linux. Applies for Ubuntu, Debian, and all Linux systems.

I am using a VPS with Ubuntu 22.4 and TeamTalk last version.

Here it is what you need to work this out.

The TT file, which you can find by clicking on this link

  1. File Zilla client, which you can find in its official website

What you have to do is simple.

  1. paste the TT file in the path /usr/bin of your server;
  2. the serrver itself will download the file tt5SRV. once it does, go back to your SSH client and type TT to check if the operation worked.
  3. When it works, you can finally type ‘tt create <servername> I.E. I typed as my first server list exactly my name. So, ‘tt create Deborah’.
  4. It will ask you to configure your teamtalk server. Press enter and begin the configuration!
  5. One thing, if you want file sharing, before starting the installation process, go to create a directory. Get information on how to do so based on the server you have. I actually didn’t set up the file sharing yet. When I want to do so, all I have to do is ‘tt reconfigure Deborah’

I hope this short tutorial is useful to you! Comment here or in the discussion group shoul dyou have any other request.
